Nature's Art Studio
I live in Port Washington, a small harbor town on the shores of Lake Michigan. I love nature and am always inspired by the beautiful, peaceful world around me when I am outdoors. I enjoy exploring the colors, designs and patterns of animal, plant life and rural America.
I create watercolor batiks on Ginwashi rice paper. It is a technique of multi-layering watercolors and wax. I often use my travel adventures and my own photographs as the foundation of my batiks. I enjoy bringing a little bit of nature indoors.
